Comments from Dave Roberts in Montana (March 3,2008)
Budd, Mark,& Bob:
I have
96hours on 125BH now. I like it better every time I fly it. I'm
starting to fly quite a bit again now, usually half an hour almost
every day sometimes less sometimes more. I'm using it for ranch work
mostly now, checking cattle, water, etc. But I can usually get a
couple of landing and takeoffs in each time
too. Yesterday we had about a
20 mph wind coming straight down the crosswind runway. Take off roll
was about 100' with two on board and about 30 gallon offuel. Landing
was about the same. Had to try to land on the
dryspot. Today 3 of us flew to a
friends place to look at gravel for our shop. We landed in a stubble
field. It looked dry. It wasn't real soft but really muddy. 125BH
looks a bit like a bush plane now. The tail wheel was about the size
of a basket ball. We had to clean the mud off of the tailwheel
before we took off. It is in a pretty serious need of a wash job
now. When wecame home, we
landed in less than 200'. Two adults and a 90 lb kid. No wind. This
winter I have really been missing building on an airplane, but
after flying the Bearhawk the last few days, what can I improve on?
For my mission I just don't think I could get much better than the
Bearhawk. Visited with Chuck and
Dawn Judy (owners of Bearhawk Proto II) a while back. We were
talking about the Bearhawks and the POWER. Last fall Dawn went with
someone somewhere in a 172. She said when they took off she kept
waiting for him to pull the throttle back and abort the takeoff. She
was sure there was something wrong with the airplane. It wasn't
picking up speed fast enough for take off. Then she realized there
wasn't anything wrong with it, it was just a 172. She was so used to
the BH. Anyway, thanks for a really great airplane. DaveRoberts,

Professionally
Designed and Widely Built
Designed
by engineer Bob Barrows, the BEARHAWK is being built in many countries
around the world and all over the USA. AviPro Aircraft, Ltd. has
delivered over 90 QB kits (4/20/07), including customers in Alaska,
Canada, Bolivia, Equador, Mexico, & Brazil. The Bearhawk kit
is a FAA 51% approved QB kit that saves you 2,000 - 3,000 hours
of work.
Aerospace
Quality
Our kit is manufactured in our own
plant (not a sub-contractorıs) in Atlixco, Puebla, Mexico (ONLINE
PLANT TOUR). The craftsmen at our plant, whom we all recruited
and trained, are VERY proud of their work and we at AviPro are equally
as proud of the quality they produce on a daily basis. Ask anyone
who has seen our kits at Oshkosh, SNF, Copperstate, Arlington,
or SWRFI all agree the welding is exceptional, the sheet metal
work is world class, and the attention to detail is rarely seen.
The
Best Value in the Four-Place Kit Market
The
Bearhawk Quick Build kit is the best value BY FAR in a four-place
experimental. We are certain that, as you learn more about the Bearhawk
(and our kits), you will agree.
