The fuselage, tail and landing gear are all steel tube with fabric covering. The fuselage utilizes aluminum stringers (not provided) to give it the final shape. As delivered the fuselage is ready for the installation of all of the control and secondary systems and the tail and landing gear are ready for cover and installation.
The landing gear uses an oil/spring shock strut for shock absorption.
The basic fuselage is supplied in only one configuration: it has the optional back door and cargo door installed and bushings for the installation of float fittings are in place. All steel is painted and there is no welding to be done. The basic fuselage kit (non-quickbuild) does not include the following (among other things):
• Seats
• Flight control system
• Flap control system
• Sheet metal (cowling, boot cowl, etc)
• Windshield
• Firewall
• Tail wheel
• Brakes (axles are installed)
